Paintings which make up the 'Tablets' group are characterised by their approach. They embrace the physicality of the wood's surface by being both physically and painterly worked. They allude to the tablets of antiquity which bear the logging of information while also acknowledging the handheld devices commonly purveyed in an ever increasingly digitally oriented world.
